If your question relates to Canvas—for instance, if you can’t figure out how to upload a document, or a quiz or assignment is not showing up where you think it should—then you should do the following:

  • First, check the “Canvas Guides” to see if they cover the topic. These are short, informative guides to particular topics. Here is the link to the Canvas Guides for students.
  • Second, if you can’t find the answer in the Canvas Guides, send an email to This is the email account that the COL has set up specifically to answer Canvas-related questions. Please describe your question as clearly as possible.


If you have a computer or technology question or problem other than Canvas, your primary point of contact is the Information and Technology Shared Services (ITSS) helpdesk. You may contact us in person, over the phone, or by submitting a request online.

Or Online - Submit a Request for Help Online and choose the option "Request help from your IT support group"

When submitting a request online, please include the following information so that we may better assist you:

  • Your EUID
  • The best way to contact you
  • Summary of the issue/request
  • Notes or observations to that may assist us in finding a resolution
